Balnarring Beach Foreshore is a 70ha nature reserve bordered by Merricks Creek and Western Port Bay. It forms part of the Western Port Biosphere, an internationally recognised Ramsar site (wetland) and is managed for conservation.

Local food and dining

The Tulum Store is the heart of Balnarring Beach and offers a selection of food and drinks to dine in or takeaway. It can be found at the end of Balnarring Beach Rd adjacent to the Rotunda and Robertsons Park.

There is a wide selection of cafe’s, bakeries, restaurants, specialty shops and an IGA supermarket in the township of Balnarring. There are also many farm gates, wineries, breweries, distilleries and restaurants in the district.
