COVID-Safe camping

The Balnarring Foreshore Committee of Management and their staff are committed to ensuring the health and safety of both residents and visitors to the Balnarring Foreshore and Parks Reserve.

The Balnarring Beach Foreshore and Parks Reserve is managed according to our Coastal Management Plan, our Emergency Management Plan (2022)1, our COVID-Safety Plan and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s Summer Plan. The Committee of Management has been guided by the latest advice of the Chief Health Officer and the Department of Health and Human Services.

The COVID-safety plan outlines the actions required by campers, staff and the management to ensure COVID-Safe camping. Campers should make themselves aware of the contents of this plan and the latest advice of the Chief Health Officer prior to departing for their camping trip. This advice may change and it is the responsibility of campers to ensure they are aware of the latest advice.

We have put in place a range of COVID-Safe practices to ensure the health and safety of residents and visitors alike. These are outlined in our COVID-Safe Plan and include the use of QR codes for contact tracing of all campers, automated hand sanitizer dispensers at the entry to all toilets, density limits in amenities blocks, additional cleaning and signage promoting COVID-safe practices.

We will also be operating at a reduced capacity and prohibiting day visitors within the camping reserves.
